Our thoughts are with the families of the lost!

Clear out time

Hi everyone, I am back on board after my Granfathers tangi and looking forward to the coming weeks before holidays.

It has become apparent that children have far too much belongings in their pencil cases and are having space issues in their tote trays.

I have asked the children to take home all of the excess stationary items to make room in their desks. This means that I will only allow one pencil case. (some children have 3 or more).

Mr Reades Update

Hi everyone,

I'm very sorry for not getting the homework sheet out this week. The children should be doing reading and spelling regardless. So don't let them convince you that they have no homework.

Today my Grandad died. Thanks to all the kids for their support of me during this tough time.

Whats a good name?

Fiona and I are beginning to think about baby names!!

Drop us a post and tell us what names you think are cool.

Remember that we don't know if its a boy or a girl.

The more ideas we get, the more chance there is that we might use your idea for a name.

Zero Waste

This week, the team at Room 4 are looking at Zero Waste. The class will be conducting three 45 min sessions this week and will be focussing on 'REDUCING'.

This is a great thing to be looking at. The children will be full of tips, info and methods for dealing with the increase of waste that we impose upon our planet.

The ability to make a difference begins at home

Mr Reade x3

This weekend Mr Reade went to Waitara in Taranaki to see his Grandad. Due to illness, his grandad won't be with us for too much longer but is a very cool guy and much loved.

Christian shows us how the helicopter can be propelled into the air using batteries and electric currents. The look on the faces here says it all. Absolute wonder!!
